Housing Issues.
The whole housing problem thing is finally resolved, I am moving out by the end of this week it seems and the only problem with this is that I may be without the internet for a week or so, which is honestly the only problem I have with the whole deal. Oh and the fact that I have to pay aboot $262.66 for my share of the bond. then It's $60 a week, and we split bills three ways and do our own shopping/cooking can you say grilled chesse? And best off all my own room, even if it is next to the lounge room and the walls ain't to thick. But then I am away from other people's rooms so I can make noise without keeping them awake. The only question is infact what sort of internet plan we need, hmm i download music everynow and then, podcasts and scrubs every week. Any suggestions from the more technically minded among you? while, once again my dander is up...
just so you know Sofie this is all your fault. ;) you now have me critically looking over some of the old ground work I did this some earlier systems and as a result hating myself are trying to reinvent the wheel. I now find myself asking the same question I have asked myself probably three times already today. What do I want from the game? But before I can answer that, I need a chance to play the game, or any game for that matter.any suggestions? From many of the illustrious associates of mine who are likely to read this? Hmm it seems as if I may have, unbeknowenst to myself, engineered a situation where a good friend of mine's very recently (as in under a week) ex-girlfriend of 3 years has a thing for me... and possibly also the girl he is interested in as well... and what makes this really odd is they are all in canada... Damn that guild and our closeness!! On the plus side Orlock and Erilin just had their first little girl and on monday 1st no less, her name is Kaelyn and she is absolutly adorable... *cough* i mean yeah, shes a baby, yeah that sounds manly enough...right? I have also discovered a great band; Iron Savior, a german sci-fi power metal band. thats right i am back to my metal roots, just more metal with words as opposed to Morbid Angel and Slayer of my youth. I heard a couple of poor quality songs off their website, and now i have their full dicography, i think its safe to say that i like em ;) Well I have a 500 word assignment to do *gasp* third yeah is crazy hard....I dont think i can cut it. lol. -Sig....Damn guild website...I mean -Twigg (thats better) Ps. question.
How come every time i hang around at uni and i am in the computer labs i always head for the macs? and everytime i am using them i try to work out a way to get one out of here and home on my desk, if I could run dragon on one that would probably make the descion right then and there, as i know you can run WoW on em. I still love the keyboards. Lew, any chance you have a spare one lying around? Why I am somewhere else.
Hey there Bloggers, been a longtime no update. But no suprise there as i have not had the internet:( But now i have moved in with regan bob and yan. The reason behind it is that regan got offered a scholarship in January but she did not want to take it becuase she did not want bob and yan do be stuck with the rent, so i told her that i would move in while she was there. but then the program was moved to january so i am here for a couple of months. Then maybe we'll all move to a bigger house or iwill defintly be gone. The situation is right now i share regan's room and my computer is in the lounge room which i am really not happy about. and that is about it. can you guess what the little technophoe is doing? Give up? using linux *cue dramatic music* Well i am using it sort of, I am running Ubuntu linux off a live disk and i am finding quite to my liking, the interface is pretty like a mac OS and it's free ;) There is only one really thing which is stopping me from installing it and making it my operatining system of choice and that is the fact that Dragon is only windows compatible, although given how little i have been using the program as of late it would not be that big a loss, but it did cost $400 so i am going to soldier on with it, but i might have a bit of a look around a prot that would allow me to run it with Ubuntu. Other than playing World of Warcraft incesently not much else has been happening. Oh i am under consideration as the recreation rep at uni as flic resigned a week ago, and they need someone to finish out the year. Why did she nominate me as her last act of office, why? oh and playing WoW is not taking away from regan time, as she plays as well, so do bob and yan, its kinda nice we all play togethjer with out as much bitching. And in other news, steve is apperently moving to geelong in around 4 weeks as his girlfriend has gotten him a job at hungrey jacks and he is so stupidly in lnfatuated that he cant wait to move in with her. Nowi know that cyncism from me has come to be expected, but i am still kind of a romantic, and steve just loses his head over any girl who so much as smiles in his general direction. (and useually it's becuase he is standing next to me ;)) That may sound unfair, but we all rember what happened with julie a few months back right? (i bitched enough about it anyway, reply and i can fill you in.) Well the net result of all of this is i am left with two options, one find a new housemate, or two find a new house. I am considering a new house as thie rent here is exorbatant and it is crappy. I have a standing invitation to move in with Regan, bob and yan, which would be pretty light on the old pocket book, but we'll see hwat happens, I am open to advice from my friends, so advise me dammit! All of you bastards who saw Serenity can bite me!
Hi kids, It's nothing personal I just really wanted to see that to film, would of course I had meetings which prevented me from being able to come down and see it. In it is being a rather long and interesting time since my last update. I have really accomplished much other than watching the entirety of dead Like Me, which by the way is a really really good show. I especially like a Rube. I have become incredibly lazy doing a little work as possible which wouldn't be so bad except the fact I really don't want to be lazy. The accomplishments are happening, have been my presentation to my government and business tutorial, it went really well, now I just have to write my paper. I have recently occurred into quite a little techno-hore. And are then spending more and more time trolling around the backstreet to the Internet and reading cyberpunk novels. On the subject of reading just yesterday I finished Alan Moore's Watchmen. Very good, but that's how I like my superheroes, flawed and human. I'm currently looking for a CDC copy the film The Specials. http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0181836/ if anyone could point me towards a copy of it I would be most grateful. I have a very busy next four days, as they are all but those of people I know. Today is my uncle's birthday, tomorrow is my mother's, Saturday and is Kim's birthday and Sunday is Stuart's birthday. The other problem i have run into recently is Ebay, i have been buying all sorts of films, giddy with the idea of buying things over the internet. Although as always i forget to look at the cost of such activites. i have not much money now, but on the up side i have the first part of Tru Calling season 1 for Regan, and i am waiting for Battlestar Galactica, everyone said it was good, so drunk with the inability to recognise electronic currency as real money, i bought the mini-series and the first season, I am also currently winning an auction for The Clerks animated series on DVD. (That is a show which is very funny.) It may seem like I don't take any interest in the goings-on in people's lives, but that is not true I simply do not update my live journal I still read everyone else's almost daily. Hey di Ho Bloggers
Well i am finally back at home here in the 'Bool. i got to catch up with you all at least once which was nice, would have liked to do it some more though. as you may have noticed i have suddenly become a bit of a techno-geek-fanboy, to the extent when bob found out his newly purchased Battlefiekld 2 would not run with the videocard he had we saddled up and went out to get him a new one, I picked it for him and haggeled the price down, and then decided that i wanted to get something for the Orc_Box (steve has put names on everyones machine's without our knowledge) to, so it didn't feel left out. I had enough cash on hand to pick up an 80gig hard drive which will (when installed) serve as a home for all of my non essential crap. Music, Movies games and the like, While my current 40gig will (when unpartioned [stupid steve]) will contain my operating system, office, and work, all the essential stuff. What i am considering is naming them both, thanks to souffle and Sigsy for promoting the idea. The system drive would be Wintermute (I just finished reading neroumancer, so sue me) and i am wondering what to call the other one. Also i would love some suggestions on a good program/way to unpartition my 40gig drive. Anyway i am now late for class. Well folks, heres how it stands. I have an exam at 9am, it is currently 1:11am, i just had a bath and finished neuromancer by way of study. I have an overdue assignment for each subject that i have to get done by this week, three are 2,000 words and one is 3,000. now i can do my usual 'oh man i am so fucked i hate my life', or i can do it, i am gonna try the do it one this time. Heedy Ho Bloggers, I just got informed of two wonderus things. 1) Regan found a copy of Farscape the Peacekeeper wars, so i am picking her up from work and we are going to watch it. (Ok in true Padden style, i have seen the first season and now i jump right to the shows finale...) 2) with out even applying i got into Uni, were apparently i am a dirty little gnome, who steals other people's beds. Now on to less attractive matters; My folks old house at Lysterfeild has finally settled on wednesday and the only reason that stupid woman who used to be my mother left is becuase my sister picked her up bodily and threw her over her shoulder and carried her out. She has made no attempt to find a place to live, so right now she is staying with Kathryn, Jarrod and Ricca. And to make matters worse when They took her around to pick up her car from her sisters, she bought a bottle of sherry on the way home and sat in the car, parked in the driveway and drank it. I can put up with her giving me shit, but as soon as she does anything to my sister i get in more or less a murdering mood. And right now she is fast running out of any sympathy i had for her. I have been trying to contact Kathryn scince it happened to see if she wants to talk, and i have left a bunch of messages, so now i wait for her to contact me i guess. all this and exams and assignments to get done *gulp*, Thanks for reading this guys, i just needed to get it out. Well Bloggers, i went and saw the latest Star Wars film last night. and contrary to what i thought might happen, i really enjoyed it! Wookies! Chewie!! Battle on Kashyck!!!!(don't care if it is spelt wrong, not a Star Wars fan rember..) well another frikkin wasted trip where i could not see you guys :( grrrr. stupid lack of car, the train is stupid, muchos quicker but still stupid! cause no car. well i got back ok, gordo picked me up, and here i was going to walk home, apparently he told regan that he would. so i went back there and snuggled with regan then had class thismorning, and once again mechille beat me at pool then i went to a meeting, i am doing a door to door survey for one of my lectures, iu have become what i hate.... but anyway we are doing the survey in the mish, which is the worst part of town. so my lecturer looks at me and says alan you can do this area, as it is the most dangourus. ah well who cares, 20 dollars an hour, should take about 10 hours. so fucken exhusted, regan meow took my car as she finished before me, then came back to pick me up, and i had offered mechille a ride to work, so dropped her off then went back to regans and she went back to playing age of empires and i went to sleep for an hour, then i got up, feeling like crap and came back here. then my keyboard didn't work. so damn exhuasted. bye |
